If you’ve just managed to recover from over eating at the Lagos Food festival, well its time for desert: The Lagos Sweet festival. Five days of traditional sweets, workshops, show cooking, live entertainment and more.
After that, maybe its time to divert our attention to the Olympics, to watch the world’s best athletes, and be inspired… because by next week it might be time to consider some serious exercise 🫄🏻😅.

🍬 Arte Doce - Sweet Festival 
From the 24-28 July, the Lagos Sports centre will be filled with traditional sweets and lively entertainment. The program includes show cooking, a screenprinting workshop, live music and DJ sets from Hybrid Theory, Expensive Soul, Ventura, Jazz concerts and of course, loads of foods and sweets. Definitely worth checking out.

✊ Give a F*ck for Gaza 
Show your support for the people of Palestine, whilst raising money for an incredible grassroots organization that is distributing water and food on the ground in Gaza. An evening of meditation, yoga, Palestinian inspired food, a film screening and resource sharing.

🏆 Olympics opening & screening 
An extravagant opening ceremony will kick off the Olympics on Friday evening. This years olympics will include some cool sports including climbing, skateboarding, surfing and breakdance. Wakepark Lagos will be doing screenings, probably also The Tavern, The Collab, and Pie Lagos.

💙 Natural Indigo dyeing Session
Enjoy a creative and fun afternoon in a beautiful farm setting. A hands on session where you’ll learn all about natural indigo dyeing on textiles with fresh and fermented indigo. You’ll take home a tote bag that you’ve dyed, using Shibori tying and mud resist techniques. Guided by Isa Rodrigues, a teacher at textileartscenter in New York and served with Deus Sista Kombucha from the farm. DM boafilha to sign up.
