Helping others is a sure way to boost your happiness. It triggers the release of happy hormones in our brains and benefits both the giver and the receiver. Win-win!
Unlike material rewards 💰🚘🛍️ which are subject to hedonic adaptation (the joy quickly fades), the benefits of helping others appreciate overtime✨. They also have a ripple effect - all that positive energy you emit when you’re selfless is contagious… And in my experience, when you donate your time to help others, you get repaid in glorious ways. Just look what happened to this inmate when he donated is life savings to relief in Gaza!
